Marley Emmons invited a lot of the townspeople to the opening of her bookstore, Sit a Spell. One who showed without an invite, however, was the dead body in her attic.

Even though she is reeling from a tragic loss, Marley is unexpectedly handed an opportunity of a lifetime: the money and the means to do exactly what she would like to do with her life.

Marley packs up and moves to the quaint little New England town of Danvers, filled with anticipation of starting over in the welcoming arms of Small Town, New England. However, not only is she not welcome, she is also accused of stirring up unwanted dust about Danvers’ witch-related history, and her new bookstore is in peril of failure before opening day by the dead body that is discovered in her attic! Can she solve this murder as the townspeople stare with accusing eyes?
